Concerto a 6 for 2 Horns and 2 Posthorns, 2 Violin, Viola and Basso continuo
In addition to a Concerto a 4 for posthorn, French horn and strings by Johann Ursinus (Beer), which is available in a copy by Fick, this is the second work in the LB M-V music collection that features posthorn. The two post horns are notated in the horn parts, suggesting that the performing musicians may have played both instruments at the time.
However, for today's performances, few horn players will be able to handle this. It is therefore recommended that the two post horns should also be played by trumpeters. This edition is published as the first printing.
