Jacques -Christophe Naudots dates of birth are unfortunately unknown , it is believed that he was born about 1690 . He lived later than 1719 as the " maître de flutte et de muzique " in Paris. From the Comte d' Egmont , he was promoted , he devoted him several of his works . He earned his livelihood from the sale of his works and as a flute teacher. In his marriage certificate he is only listed as " maitre de musique " . As a soloist he frequently made its appearance at the Concert spiritual . Johann Joachim Quantz referred to his visit to Paris in 1726 , although the flutist Michel Blavet as the best player , but Naudot as best composer. Naudot composed mostly works for his instrument , the flute , such as concertos, sonatas , duos with and without basso continuo , which were mainly published 1726-1740 in Paris.
His edition of the " Livre contenant / diverse Pièces / pour deux Cors de Chasse / Trompettes , flûtes traversiers , ou / Hautbois " was released in 1733. It is written for horns ( hunting horns ) or trumpets, which is evident from the use harmonic series . The additional instruments of the title were probably the better marketing .
The pieces were recorded in the original transposition in D and again in the transposition in F . The notes are played without problems also for Hunting horn in or trumpets.
