Charles Fleury
3 Quartets for Horn, Violin, Viola and Violoncello
Charles Fleury was born in Lille in 1771, was first horn player in the theater of the city of Lyon and died there in 1825. More information here.
The present 3 quartets bear the title on the print
Trios QUATUORS /concertant / pour Cor, Violin, Viola et Basso / Composes et Dediés / A Monsieur / MARCEL BODIN / par Charles Fleury / Premier Cor du Grand Théâtre de Lyon
The work apparently appeared in Fleury's own print around the year 1800. His 12 quartets for 4 horns (edited as ROM 415) were published much earlier; when these were published, also in his own print, Fleury had not yet taken his position as the first horn player Lyons.
