Wolfgang Amade Mozart
Divertimento in B KV 270 arranged for woodwind quintet
This divertimento was composed in 1777 in Salzburg, originally for 2 oboes, 2 horns and 2 bassoons.
This divertimento has been arranged for wood wind quintet more than once. Unfortunately, those are arranged first to be easily playable but not that the original sound is nearly transformed into the new instrument combination. As both horn parts are composed in high B, the horn part of this new arrangement is not very easy but very close to the original. This arrangement has been performed with great success by the ensemble Avanti and shall now be available for other ensembles, too.
