This 6 Concerto in E flat major, designated "VI / Concerto / A PRINCIPAL CORS / Premier et Second Violon Alto: et / Lower deux Hautbois deux Cors / Composé par / Cit.en Punto"
appeared around 1796 (together with the 7th Concerto) with the Parisian publisher Naderman. Striking is the very moderate error correction in this old print, the title was recorded instead of "Violons" "Cors" instead of "Cor", "Violon". The Tutti-horns is inaccurate endorsement 'in D ".
The French. Revolution shows its traces, Punto is called "Cit.en Punto", ie citizens, in the title.
6. Concerto for Horn
Giovanni Punto, or whatever his real name was Jan Vaclav Stich, on 28 September 1746 in Zehušice / Caslav 75 km southeast of Prague born.
