This Concerto for 2 Horns has been edited by a copy of the autograph. The autograph was in 1944 in the second World War II destroyed in the fire of the Darmstadt library. It is assumed that the work of one of the compositions is that Schneider has performed about 1808 with his concert tours with the hornist Boetticher.
